About the Artist

My work expresses the joy of life through the use of vivid colors and fantasy themes. I use a variety of media, but primarily acrylic paint or colored pencil and ink. The images are meant to express playful, childlike ideas in a surreal, abstract style.

I grew up in an eclectic household filled with an appreciation for art and the encouragement to express myself.  My mother’s artwork filled me with the desire to create art, and my father’s erudition and keen insight helped direct my critical eye and broaden my interests beyond the art world.

I followed my desire in art by obtaining a BA in Fine Art - Painting and Drawing, from the University of Wisconsin - Madison. I earned an MBA from the University of Massachusetts – because of a strong interest in the business world.  While continuing to develop my artwork, I established a career in marketing and corporate training. Presently, I spend my time creating, teaching art classes and promoting the arts.

My paintings and drawings can be found in numerous private collections.  I have been represented in many exhibitions, including the Westmoreland Nationals, Westmoreland College, Pennsylvania; Montgomery Center for the Arts, Montgomery,NJ, Johnson & Johnson Corporate Gallery, Skillman, NJ and Princeton Arts Council, Princeton, NJ. I currently live in suburban New Jersey with my adoring husband an indifferent cat. As Vice President for Arts on Division, I am actively involved in promoting the arts and encouraging other artists.
